You can do almost anything with Alexa. You can use Alexa app for managing Alexa. But sometime this app faces some issues and doesn’t work properly. Here are some of the solutions that you should try for making Alexa app work :

Compatibility

Firstly, verify that your device meets the following requirements :

•        iOS 8.0 or higher
•     Android 4.4 or higher
•    Fire OS 3.0 or higher
•      Computer web browsers Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer 10 or higher.
•   If any of these requirements is not fulfilled, you will get an issue in working with Alexa app.

iOS Devices

Restart your iPhone, iPod, or iPad touch device

•     Press and hold the Wake/Sleep button on your iOS device till the time slider appears on the screen.
•     Press and drag the slider for turning off the device.
•     After your device turns off, press and hold the Wake/Sleep button for turning on or restarting the device.

Force Close the App

•     Press the Home button twice till the time previews of your most recently used apps appear on the screen.
•    Swap until you locate the app of Alexa, and then swap up on the app for closing it.

Uninstall and reinstall the App

•   Press and hold the Alexa app till the time it starts shaking on the screen and click on the X on the app.
•     After uninstalling the app, go to Apple apps tore and reinstall the Alexa app.

Android Devices

Restart Your device

•        Press and hold the power button and then choose the option to turn off your device. 
•       After your device turns off, press power button again to restart the device.

Force Close the App

•   From the Home screen of Android device go to Settings > Apps or Application > for some devices you need to choose manage devices.
•   Find the Alexa app from your list of installed apps and after that select Clear Data.
•    After you clear the application data, select the option of Force stop.

Uninstall and Reinstall

•   From the app menu of your Android device, select the Alexa app and then choose Uninstall.
•     After uninstalling the app, go to Google Play and install the Alexa app again.

Fire OS

Restart Your device

•      Press and hold the power button and then choose the option to turn off your device.

•    From the home screen of Fire OS device, swipe down to open the quick settings and then click Settings or more > Apps & Games or Application > manage all applications or Installed Applications.
•    Find the Alexa app from your list of installed apps and after that select Clear Data.
•     After you clear the application data, select the option of Force stop.

Uninstall and Reinstall

•    From the app menu of your Android device, select the Alexa app and then choose Uninstall.
•   After uninstalling the app, go to Apps Library and install the Alexa app again.

Web Browser

•  Reload the web page.
• Clear the cookies and cache from your browser. When you clear any cache and cookies, this removes any website settings like username and passwords from your browser.
•   Close your web browser and open it again.
